The most effective exit strategy depends on the owner’s goals, the company’s ownership structure, value drivers, risks, and readiness for a transaction. Options may include a sale, succession, partner buyout, or another ownership transfer. A business valuation can clarify the company’s position, identify issues buyers may see, and support more informed planning before choosing a path.
